read your servers' TOS, the "products" page could also list the features like CPU power, RAM available for the server you rented... if you just want to know if using 600MB is common practise, then i have to say:
yes, it (RAM available/being used) will even raise (as in the past 4 decades), some persons are still hesitating to demand some more RAM (and/or pay for it) than 1GB.
iam using mapandreas (high detail), a filterscript with a Cell[6000][6000][x] using >400MB - no problem. using RAM doesnt decrease the servers' performance btw, in most cases, using more ram even speeds it up.
