Point is not that, We've been running the server successfully, I have enough experience and we had 20-30 players daily. It didn't die all together or because of admin thing. Response towards our team was positive, Helped at all case, Provided equal opportunities, Good support and stuff. The reason was people got bored and everyday 2-3 people got less and when server was empty noone logs in thinking its empty. Thats how it slowly got inactive, sometime suddenly hits the peak or sometime just down.
