% gives you the remainder of x / y.
For example:
8 % 2 = 0
7 % 3 = 1
12 % 5 = 2
15 % 28 = 15
For example:
8 % 2 = 0
7 % 3 = 1
12 % 5 = 2
15 % 28 = 15
number % 2
