No one can say that Linux is better than Windows or vice versa. It really depends on what you want to do. Personally I would go for Linux, it's just personal preference. It runs way smoother, it's more open to tweaking and can run on low spec hardware and still perform well, whereas Windows eats up alot of RAM. Although assuming you never used Linux, I would go for Windows, as Linux takes you awhile to get used to, Windows your already familiar with.
