We disabled access to our Billing Control Panel, which is powered by WHMCS, as a temporary precautionary measure due to the compromise that WHMCS themselves suffered yesterday.

Thankfully the cause of the compromise was not due to the panel itself but a social engineering attack on WHMCS's host which still leaves some unanswered questions but does mean that it is safe for us to put our Billing Control Panel back online again.

You should be able to access the Billing Control Panel again now, i'm about to send out another email to all of our customers informing them that it's available again. I've changed any system-related password too.

Just to be absolutely clear, the supplier of our Billing Control Panel software, WHMCS, had their systems compromised. We took our Billing Control Panel offline as a precaution just in case the compromise was due to a fault in their software. However, the cause of the compromise was a social engineering attack on their host rather than a fault with their software. All of our customer data has remained untouched, the only data that has been compromised is data about WHMCS's customers, i.e hosting providers such as myself.

It's been a fun day I can assure you! Apologies if you were unable to order earlier.
