I got a little suggestion (or at least here is what I did).

I converted the python.pwn script to an include, which hooks the callbacks etc, so you can still use your own PAWN gamemodes and python at the same time.
So just include pythonrunner.inc (in my case its the name of the python.pwn) in every pawn gamemode and use the python scripts like filterscripts.
I did this to use the html-server together with my old gamemode.

I think this method is better if you have a cool pawn gamemode but still want to use Python.
