I've already had to postpone my servers BETA launch because of these problems and I'm probably going to have to postpone it again because I can't develop anything if I can't connect. :/ |
By two days I'm referring to on-off periods naturally exhibited by an attack, the server was only completely out for around 24 hours (which is what we compensated 7 days for).
We don't get hit daily with DDoS attacks, we get on average 1 attack a month and they usually last between 6 to 18 hours at the most (and most of the time its a very isolated attack, only 5-10 clients actually get affected by downtime). This one was the longest one by far since it targeted a few servers hosted on the node, which we are in the process of moving to an isolated node.
