On topic: It really doesn't matter. I've slept many times with my headphones on. I've set my playlist to repeat after the last song. Nothing's happened to me but some times after waking up, I've found my headphones broken. Probably bulldozing it while asleep.
One thing is a whole playlist, one thing is a sax doing the same thing for 10 hours!
