RS 232 and VGA-adapters might look similar, but they arent the same, and arent compatible (9 pins vs 15 pins). It is a quite old standard (but a great one, I still use it for selfmade components myself), as USB is way more popular, maybe thats why they didnt have it.
Hm, seems to be hard to find a shop for portugal, especially without any language knowledge, I cant find one.
