If you want to overclock I suggest you get the Intel i5 2500k Sandy Bridge, or for $100 bucks more get the Intel i7 2600k Sandy Bridge which really isn't needed unless you are doing very high intense programs that need hyperthreading.
The reference graphics card you have (gtx 580) is good but I never heard of "Inno3D". I recommend you stick to the main ones like EVGA, MSI, Gigabyte for the best service, warranty and quality. And if you want to lower to price a little bit you could go down to the GTX 570, which will still be future proof and like $150 less. The CPU cooler you chose doesn't seem to come with any fans? I suggest for you to get this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...%20RR-920-N520 And again for the overclocking: your motherboard isn't a overclocking motherboard, it still is a really good motherboard because I am soon buying the same one soon, but if you want to overclock, I suggest you look into the Asus P8P67 DELUXE which has overclocking features to go to like 4Ghz+. Happy buying P.S: If you are upgrading from a old machine you might need to upgrade your power supply as well. How much wattage is yours currently? You should get at least a 750w to power everything you wanted. |
Seeing as when I am upgrading I will be having 2 GPU's that new one and my current GTX 260. (The PSU supports dual GPU's so it's good enough.) As for the GPU Inno3D is for the top range GPU's, Nvidia have it in most of there higher end GPU's. Not to mention it's shipping at Nvidia's default speeds of 772MHz for the one core. I'm looking to overclock the GPU aswell.
Also, that cooler has fans inside which blows the air about. (Looking at a new one tho)
