Mine used to do so, and my solution was pretty simple, take a cooler fan from a desktop computer and then connect it with an USB cable (Cut the wires and connect them to an USB port, only the ones that conduct electricity). Rise your laptop by few cm so the fan can get under, put the fan on something so it can take air and spread it, if you put it on a flat surface it does pretty much nothing but heat it up faster.
PS Put the fan under the CPU which if I'm not mistakening is on the left.
Simple. Get me?
