An update was made yesterday which fixed compatibility with MTA and many bugs found in the first few days of release. You could try updating, but if that doesn't work or you can't be bothered, just delete the d3d9.dll file in your GTA folder.

Also, at least 1000 people are using SA-MP Live without major problems.
