Not this again...
You can't compare Mac vs. PC, because Macs are PCs too! The very definition of "PC" is Personal Computer.
Macs have their advantages for designing, because the photoshop software suites and other additional graphic and video creation/editing software were created for (and on) Macs and were later ported to Windows/Microsoft as they became larger. The only real advantage in my eyes is that Apple based Mac on Unix. Apple over-charge for Mac hardware and software, it's only really plastic-like designs and a few well-promoted products such as iTunes and the physical design of the hardware for Mac computers that attracts people to using their products.
Windows is simple; it has everything you'll need, you can do pretty much everything you'll ever need from a computer on it efficiently. The operating systems Windows produce are made to function well for both computer illiterate and computer literate people. Microsoft is a lot more of an open market; Microsoft do not really dictate what hardware and software you can use, anyone can engineer the appropriate hardware to create a computer that functions properly for Microsoft as well as not being burned at the stake for doing so, Apple keep control over everything they create to the extent where it's just unfair. Microsoft sell their products for fair prices and for the most part are fair with the products they release, but if it's censorship you want - go with Apple.
What an absolute waste of money.
