Obviously there are situations where there's nothing that can be done, even with today's technology, but that doesn't mean that sacrificing your health for another's is impossible. Just because you can't, "transfer," life over literally, it doesn't mean that you can't help someone out who's unhealthy. Seriously, your thought process strikes me as being incredibly strange.
Organ failure is one instance in which you could give health, yes, but it isn't the only situation. You can donate blood, tissue cells, plasma, extremities to an extent, and who knows what else?
EDIT: Hell, simply spending your time to help someone in need could technically be covered under this. What if you spent half your life to help a troubled friend or family member in need? Something like that would certainly cause a lot of stress and frustration. Mental health is still health.
