Broken headphones wire (question)
#7

Hehe, you all got too much money? If you can fix it yourself, why should you buy a new one, even if it only costs one dollar? Fixing headphones takes max 2 minutes if you know what you are doing

Didnt watch the whole clip, but there are 2 common reasons.
If the wires have paint coating for isolation, you will have to remove it carefully with a knife. It is hard to explain, try to scrap a bit on a wire, if the color "falls off" and you see something shiny under it you can be quite sure that they are coated (95% of all headphones have coated wires, as they are cheaper to produce). Remove the paint as good as possible on ~1cm of each wire end and twist those shiny parts of the same colour together. Now pick some tape and wind it around all blank parts from which you removed the color. Should work now

If the wires are not coated, they will be fused seperately in the first isolation that you have to remove first. If they are, try to isolate all loose wires that you twisted together with some tape. Be sure they do not touch each other.
