Hello

I have forwarded port 7777 on TCP and UPD.
PFportchecker gives me this:



we were not able to ping your router

Your port is open! (TCP and UPD)

I have tried to shutdown my firewall but that did not work, does the router have a firewall?
I also tryed to disable my virus program (avast), did not work.

I cheked with SAMP Connection Checker v. 4.1 and it told me the server IS online but not in hosted or
internet list.

I have my server in my favorites list and I can join it.

I have one more computer in my room that connects with a USB modem...

I have been playing samp on it before.

when I try to connect to mcdsamp.ath.cx:7777 (My DNS dyndns.com) or my ip on www. whatsmyip . org

I add :7777 at the end ofc.

It does not work it just says The server did not respond

(The ping is very high too)

I have query and announce to 1 in my cfg file.

I have made my Internal IP adress static in TCP/IP...

I use portforward and portforward/ packet portforward on my router to forward 7777... and the PFportchecker
tells me the port 7777 is open.

So the problem is: we were not able to ping your router...

I am from Sweden and have a GATEWAY D-35 router.

I tryed portforward.com but my router was not there so I used a guide for a similair router...
and opened the port 7777...

what did I do wrong?

Okay, make sure you are using the correct SA-MP version. You need to have 0.3b if that's what your server runs... Make sure you use your external IP address when trying to connect from inside your network. If we can connect, it has to be something like a wrong client-server connection. (0.3a or 0.3b) If you need some help, send me a PM and we'll do a TeamViewer session.

and, i just joined in your server, works fine! make sure u r using 0.3b!

Within your network you can't connect via your external IP.
Open CMD and type ipconfig and press enter (on the computer you're hosting from).

Then look for IP(v4) adress, should be 192.168.0.1** (for example, 192.168.0.123)
Use that IP to connect from the same network (at your house).

To connect with the computer you're hosting from, use 127.0.0.1.
For other people to connect from the world, use your external IP. (mcdsamp.ath.cx:7777)

What ping level are you hitting? It could be a bad connection between computers, but it could also mean you have a crappy ISP. If you would like your server to be in the internet list, you can set the following line in the server.cfg file, located in your servers root directory.

Look for;

Code:

announce

and set it to

Code:

announce 1

You asked why your ping was so high, so I told you to check your ping level. Obviously, you don't understand what that means. If you think your going to run a server, you should know general computer terminology.

OMG, Im a beginner... I will learn to script and learn things like that.
But first I want to make sure if my server is online so players
can connect... and after that I make announce to 0 and learn scripting etc

There is no rule that new players can't make a server... You just made me feel
like a loser

I know what ping is on my own comp my ping is 25 and on my second comp its like 400...

You wont be able to have alot of players on your server in general if you home host your server. Unless your hosting the server in a datacenter or an office space with dedicated upstream bandwidth, the chances of you holding many players is slim to none.

If you have a good enough script and enough players to play on it, yeah. If you do decide to host it, either go with ServerFFS, Volt-Host or True:Serve.

If you seriously plan on running a server you should have it hosted, unless like I said, you have a very good upstream connection

Are your ports forwarded properly?
