So i would want to know how much i should use in a vps for RP server.


for example 60/60 players and like 3 npc .


i was thinking like 256 mb and 1ghz ? or is that less .

Better to go for a dedicated server imho, most VPSes are overloaded (feel free to PM me if you'd like for me to explain this in more depth).

Either way, 256mb of RAM isnt enough. You should be looking more in the range of 512 - 768mb of memory at the minimum, and at least 1 dedicated core of 1.6ghz+ at the very least. Note the difference between dedicated and shared processing on a VPS, dedicated processing power is hard to find from a host, shared is easily misunderstood.

as i looked Srverffs dedi is I7 and its 90 eur o.o , too much over budget

Dedicated server wise, you can get cheap AMD servers from http://www.serverpronto.com/ or cheaper, older yet still viable Intel servers from http://burst.net just for an example (a ****** search for something along the lines of "cheap dedicated server hosting" will show you many more providers)

Burst and Serverpronto have servers starting from ~$40US per month, I dont think you can rent a dedicated server for a lower price than that.

If thats still too much for your budget, perhaps you should consider getting a server host, a well priced server host would provide a better hosting service than a underpowered VPS imho.
