Halp. Graphic Card to TV
#1

Ok, need halp badly. First, check the things I have.

1:

It's not a modern TV, but my mum don't let me use the plasma. wtf. This TV is very fat. D:

2:

Again, it's not high-end-ass but it will work with TV, I feel it. lol

3:

My graphic card came with this cable (The above one, 7 ports), but my fat-ass TV don't have that type of port, so buying the following thing will work?

Bump.

Ok, I was suggested to get this: (According to the TV I'm using).

But the question is, my graphic card's S-Video out has 7 holes but the cable above has 4 pins. Does it matters if I plug in that 4 Pin cable to a 7 Hole port? Will the quality be affected? Will my graphic card or TV be screwed?

Please Reply.

Try to connect the RCA connection (so the red-white-yellow ones), the quality isn't realy that diferent.
But the quality to VGA->S-Video OR VGA->RCA is always poor.

Well the graphics card nor the TV won't be screwed, don't know about the quality but it wont be damaged.
And also $0.80 for is cable is nothing, so you can buy it and test it out.

Both the cables I provided have 4 pins but my graphic card has 7 holes, does it matters if I connect the 4 pins to the 7 holes port?
P.S: It's not about the money, I don't wanna travel about 25 KM away from home and buying the wrong shit. I'm very rich you know, I spend money like it don't mean anything for me. Kidding ofc.

Far as the number of pins goes, it doesn't matter. However, S-Video has shitty quality.

I don't care about the quality because I just wanna connect it and be successful, lol. Kind of a experiment.
I don't the quality will itch me while playing games. (GTA:IV etc.)

Well, then that cable that goes from S-Video/Y to RCA would work. I had the same thing (only without the Y plug), with only 4 pins and a 7 pin port and it worked fine.
