Now, i dont know about you, but i see alot of people on here calling new scripters "noobs" of course we are noobs, thats the whole point in us being "new scripters" but i hate when they give out the samp wiki, which is completely useless, it has no information on nearly anything on the scripting section, i've read over it countless times..

so i am making this topic for all you "pros" to come in and "noobs", to come in, and share your tutorials
also, all you pro scripters, hate on me all you want, i dont actually mind, but remember, you were like me once, had no clue about scripting

True, but we readed wiki and pawn-lang.pdf and we searched, most of the new scripters are just opening new topics everywhere with questions like: "hi omgz0rz i got dis errorz and what it mean?!?!".

thats why i "limit" my questions, and use the search before i ask a question

Are there any tutorials you think besides from the wiki or pawn-lang.pdf which may of helped you?
i look at scripts and it looks easy, but when i go on samp wiki they make it look very complicated on that with dcmd and not giving enough information on some commands

Well, there aren't much tutorials (if there is any). I think there should be "Tutorials" board in which people could post their own tutorials about scripting or any other thing.

I felt the same like you. I didn't understand a shit of it and everybody mocked me. I do NOT mock people for getting it, but here's my serious advice.

The Wiki won't teach you the syntax and basics of PAWN. You need to learn that yourself.

It's hard to teach people it, you just need to "get it". You have to try. I got pissed off but when I learnt it I understood.

Once you do understand the syntax and basics, the wiki is GREAT. It documents EVERYTHING about it, but you simply don't understand how to use it until you know the basics & syntax.

Read the wiki and download gamemodes and learn and study them. There are some tutorials around. Experiencing stuff by studying examples (GM's already released) is one of the better ways in my opinion.

it does exactly that
at the scripting basics page of it and there are sum more pages that go more into the details of scripting at the wiki tho
u could then still use the pawn-lang.pdf
which explains it into the smallest detail.

Lol I have never studied the Wiki when stuck .. just read a load of scripts thoroughly .. a wide diversity of scripts .. try to understand the code little by little and eventually it will become second nature.

Actually, the wiki is a wonderful thing. It's not useless at all.

Lets say you want to learn a function, such as something simple, like "GameTextForAll", now you go on the wiki, and use the search feature, and search for exactly what you need help with. In this case its "GameTextForAll", and a page comes up, and explains it, and gives an example, allowing you to learn what it is, and how to use it. https://sampwiki.blast.hk/wiki/GameTextForAll
