Right so I got a friend who gots an Acer Aspire 5750G. The problem he has is that when he wants to play ( either SA:MP or League of Legends ), his laptop suddenly shuts down after some time. I told him the problem might be because he never cleaned the laptop from dust ( he also has a cooler under it and the problem is still the same ). Will there be any other thing that causes this or only the dust? ( he never cleaned it, for like 3 years ). Also gotta mention that his laptop is hot as damn when it shuts down.

If it has another cooler it shouldn't really be heated up, I personally think it's a hardware problem take it to somewhere for a check

Unexpected shutdown nearly always means overheating. Open it up, clean it and put new thermal paste. Do this only if you feel comfortable because laptops are a lot harder to assemble than desktops. Superficial cleaning doesn't really help because the dust is just blown deeper into the system.

My laptop is getting overheated and then shutting down when I play heavy games (but never SA-MP). I fix the problem by cleaning my fan with vacuum once per month.

My 6 year old gaming laptop did the same. I took it apart cleaned the dust and hit the fan with silicone based lube. Still kept overheating, so took another peek. I separated the fan from the processor and yeah...the heat paste looked like a dry riverbed in the Gobi desert. Scraped it off, polished both surfaces with 91% alcohol (DO NOT USE 70%/RUBBING ALCOHOL) and laid down some new arctic silver and all is right with the world now.

Where do you buy this stuff? It seems so easy to come by in the US of A, but I can't seem to find it anywhere over here. Got some ArctiClean instead. It works, but it's rather expensive.

I had the same with problem with my laptop, Does your friend's laptop blows hot air? if it does try dust cleaning the fan it did the trick for me.

It depends on the fan itself, whats damaged, etc, it's not really a one case fits all type of situation. I had an HP laptop a while ago that seemed to have a damaged fan, the noise produced started getting extremely loud and the computer itself began to slow down.

I had another HP laptop that would overheat but didn't make that noticeable of a sound(atleast from what I can remember).

That's what I'm saying. There somewhat must be a change, so you'll have to aware and look out for those possibilities such as noise production/instability. Fluctuation may occur in some cases.

When i try to use it many lights turning on and auto turning off and the coller running very fast with higher volume
and the monitor not showing anything just black screen
and when it run it run for many minutes only and stop again for long time and cannot open samp or any game when it run
please help

It will probably cost you the same to buy a new laptop as opposed to buying new parts for your old one. If its the fan then its going to be expensive and time consuming. I suggest looking into purchasing a new one, either from ebay or a cheap one from somewhere else. They are surprisingly cheap nowadays, and pretty much anything can run samp

you are describing a CPU/GPU/Maineboard fault, likely brought on by overheating (that loosened up solder and caused the GPU to lift off its pads)

These can be patched-up by heating the GPU to the point the solder re-melts, but this is temporary and won't last.

You probably need a new laptop.

Completely unsurprised its an HP. I almost always run into these overheating deaths w/ HPs or Toshibas, but mainly HP.

I have had better experiences with Dell laptops than Toshiba and HP laptops as well. Both manufacturers tend to overload the laptop with adware or useless applications.

Drug stores sell it, for putting it in cuts and whatever, it's like $1 for half a litre. Acetone (Nail polish remover) works too, I've also used carburetor cleaner, though it's probably not your best option.

OT: if its overheating, put some di electric grease (Silicone lube) on the fan spindle. It's non conductive. Thermal paste on the heat sync as others have said, but are you getting a blue screen of any sort? Are you sure the battery just isn't shorting out? I've had a couple laptops just shut off like that after using it because it puts too much of a draw on the battery, replacing it will fix the issue.

Just a quick note: I've known acetone to cause pitting in the copper of the heatsink, which will cause air bubbles between the heatsink and paste. Those pockets get hot and dont dissipate heat and can cause the processor to run hotter than it needs to.
