If it's ''drift only'' its not going to succeed. You gotta create more options, like freeroam, DM, minigames... if you want people to stay entertained on your server.

If its going to be a drift server, please, be the first one to (finally) create a server with tutorials in-game which will teach you how to drift, because I really suck at drifting and have no imagination about ways to drift. ;-;

On most drift servers they just put you in an empty place and "go figure it out", "play with yourself" and its fucked up, because I don't know what to do and why would I play your server then ? I can just enter a freeroam server, find myself some new buddys to do other crap with and have much more damn fun than on your dedicated-to-drifting server.

An idea, thanks anyway, yeah it would be with tutorials. And not just only drift server, it takes much much more, like DM, minigames etc.

Sorry, man but it's just how it is with drifting. It exactly like Han said in tokyo drift:
"There's no wax on, wax off in drifting. The first drifters invented drifting out here in the mountains by feeling it. So feel it!"
It went exactly the same way in sa-mp.
It's not about what to do in a specific spot on the map. It's not about how much do you need to hold that handbrake or that Nitrous on a specific turn. You get the elegy and you drive it until you learn its handling. After you tame every single thing there is about that car, you will realize that you can can do every damn thing with it.

With that being said, I think it's not worth it to put so much effort into teaching people how to drift, because everyone learns in his/her own way. Efforts should be made to create an environment that is as healthy as possible. As a beginner you have a lot more chances to learn if you make friends that are experienced and that are willing to teach.

Its not real life, it has a certain mechanics.

What you're trying to say is that, if you're not a drifter by talent or knowledge or drifting in real life doesn't work for you, you cannot enjoy at least drifting in a game that is meant to be fun, too ?

I think I should be allowed to enjoy the feel of drifting like you do, at least in-game

I still stand by my words. Just like you can have fun drifting in a game, you can also have fun drifting in real life. Sure the mechanics are a little different, we're talking about a 10 year old game, but the same principle still applies. It's still physics.

Cars were made for transport and speed, they weren't made to drift, but someone started having fun drifting, so it became a thing.
Cars in GTA SA weren't made for drifting either, yet here we are in a world where rivalry in sa-mp is so intense, people actually attach each other at a personal level. The reason you don't see that in real life drifting is simply because normal kids can't drift.

I phrased the second part in a wrong way. Efforts should be made for teaching people how to drift, but not the way I stated in my last comment. You don't tell people how much speed they should have, or how long should they hold the handbrake when facing different types of turn. You just let them choose their own way of drifting. Give them a friendly environment and let the elder drifters share their knowledge. Their horizons get wider and wider, yet it will be their job to push themselves to the limit.

I didn't think a person would give such a detailed tutorial, I thought more towards race checkpoints which you need to enter ...
Like - "Drive into the check point over there and make a side drifting" or somethin' like that, then blah blah blah

The things you stated are more of "simulator" of drifting with a virtual "guider" which actually does everything for you and you just need to follow what he tells you to press. that actually sucks, because there is no challenge in it.

Oh, by the way, would be nice to have challenges, a list of challenges and when you choose one of them, you will get teleported to a custom map, where you need to complete a challenge.

For example - a really map with road in the shape of 8 which in it you need to keep drifting non-stop 8 cycles.
So if you stop, drive straight, drift out of the map, any sort of fail - the challenge is failed and you need to start all over.
