Server Idling
#1

Is it normal for the server to act "asleep" after being idle for a while? I'm running it on a VPS and after a while of nothing happening on it, it's as if the script has unloaded partially. Is this something I've done wrong or a problem with the server?

Under my knowledge I don't think SAMP servers have any built-in idle.
Though I have a server myself on a dedicated box which I know can go into a "idle" mode if no connections are made over a period of time. The only downside of it is that first time someone pings the server through the SAMP launcher, it might take a extra second or two before it responds.

Do you have any specific issues with the idle?
If yes I'd check out configurations on your VPS, or ask your host if they have any standard configuration regarding this.

The main issue is that it does not load much of anything from the script. I'm sure it's doing it right now, I could show you.
