A frustrating problem with accounts.
#1

Hello everyone. I come to you with an odd problem.

I own a VPS on linux (very good bandwidth, ram, processor, etc) and i had installed a SA:MP server using GameCP. Than i placed a GM... all working well. I can register as a player, play, etc... everyting fine. BUT, if i give myself (or others) admin account, or gang leader account... after a server restart, from gamecp, the accounts dissapear, also the money made, etc. Nothing get saved!!!

I've tested the GM on Win, works perfectly, also, talkd to another friend who own a VPS from the same company where i have my VPS, and he tested the server, and for him, works fine.

model name: Intel® Core™ i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz
OS: Debian
Bites: 32+64(both libraries installed)

Please give me some informations, help or guidance in this matter. I apreciate it!
Thank you!

chmod 777 -R scriptfiles/

Try that.

make sure the files that the data is saved to is like GANGS.TXT linux doesn't read files without the .txt for example if u have a gang system with saving gangs on linux and the file named GANGS.TXt and u did not add the .txt it wont work properly how ever windows can read from files like that.

Don't restart your server, ever.

I think you are joking right? If you make a modification of some kind the server will need a restart.

From what i see it sounds like you/the game panel, never gave permissions for your server to read or write. Go into your server directory with putty and type
Код:
chmod 700 *
and see what happens...

That should give everything in your server directory the ability to be readable, be writable and executable by the owner only.

On a more serious note, install without the gamecp crap or buy for someone like kingj.

I will reinstall today, the OS only on 32 bits. Maybe the problem is because i have on the VPS both libraries, 32 and 64. After the reinstalation i will come with a reply here. Thanx guys...
