Alright,

So I decided seen as about 2 months ago I made a RP server to test about 10 people came on, so I decided to make a proper one, unique and not a edit from anything, the question running my mind is how could I possibly get more players, I mean I give time to my server a lot but yet only about 3 to 5 people decide to visit after I post a advertisement out of 250 people who have viewed it, what else way is there that I could get people to join seen as they ignore the advertisements or perhaps they don't feel like its the right one for them. Any ideas?

It doesn't help that you are trying to succeed in a market SATURATED with RP servers...a lot of them not-so-good and leave a bitter taste in people's mouth.

If you advertise/operate like every other RP server...don't expect much to happen. You REALLY have to focus on advertising correctly, being TRULY unique, and giving people the opportunity to see what the server is like before they have to go through the motions of logging in, etc etc.

Basically, make some good movies and foster your social presence (outside of the server itself). Don't be all "OMFG JOIN MY EPIC RP [UNIQUE] [REFUNDING] [VIP] [ZOMGHOMESCHOOLED]" etc etc etc. Stand out, and try and succeed on your merits. Make sure you have admins that aren't retarded, make updates and restarts on a schedule so nobody is surprised. Make sure your outside community is interactive and not just mindless posts on a default free forum where everyone has 1GB avatars and signatures....that sort of thing.

@coltmaster Yea, I've got a Unique MySQL server, all the systems are by me, I implemented systems like car radio and garages to make it more realistic, so I believe I do offer that.

Also, make sure NOT to give out administrator positions, or even allow applying. Those really dedicated should be chosen. Another thing - be it your best (online, duh) friend, do not make him an administrator if he's a retard. I have seen many servers doing this and they have really gone down thanks to the friends thinking it's okay if they ban whoever they want.

I've pretty much already got a staff team, maybe a few mods and helpers but that's all, and yes I have kicked a few players out the administration team because they thought they could do whatever they wished, I'm pretty strict at that kind of thing, But only so that the server doesn't mess up in the nearby future, Thanks for the tip though

I'd actually join if everything's well scheduled, well updated and well maintained. Dunno, you can contact your forum friends and enquire them. Its upon the majority of whom are you going to code for.

Yeah, It is pretty well maintained and unique, it's going to open today at around 4 GMT +2, However I'm in a process which I just finished which is the player UCP, on the website click UCP rt that sort of thing, just players needed now I have a few friends on Skype willing to help and support the server I need new faces too!

I saw your advertisements, I would not join because of a few reasons.

- I don't like your banner, for me its just a black background and some text made in paint. Doesn't have that "Woauw what is this?".
- "Epic vehicle system" Why is it epic?
- "Gold Bar Donation system" What is that?
- Explain your unique features.

I'm not trying to offend you. That's just why i wouldn't join.
