I like what I saw so far from the S4, but the design got kinda old.

I just recently purchased a Droid DNA which I find to be a fair enough alternative.
5" screen with 1920x1080 resolution, 1.2GHZ@4 cores. (Qualcomm snapdragon, same family as Galaxy S4)
Qualcomm doesn't make really good video GPUs like nVidia does (Tegra 3 is a good example)

The Galaxy Note 3 will follow late this year or early next year, it's supposed to sport a 6.3" screen.

Something I don't like about the newer phones coming out is that they're sacrificing the HDMI port for MHL usb. It totally sucks when you want to plug in a keyboard and mouse AND have HDMI capability, I had to go buy a bluetooth keyboard and mouse set to get what I wanted.

To owners of Galaxy S4, can you use an OTG cable to plug in a USB stick? My Droid DNA (stock ROM, non-rooted) can so I'm curious.

I have the Droid DNA And I love it... Currently I'm running newtoroot's Sense 5 ROM and a custom kernel that overclocks it to 1.8GHz (the stock clock is 1.5GHz btw).

I'm not able to root mine because I bought it used and previous owner OTA'd it.

How well does the overclocking work? I imagine it kills the battery and outputs a lot of heat.

I have the Nexus 4 from ******, and I think it is better than S4. Waiting for Nexus 5 announcement in may 15.
