SA-MP will probably die out, but don't expect it to be any soon. Everything has a time where it has to end.

I'm actually surprised SA:MP hasn't died yet. I mean... we're all playing a game that's over 10 years old now.

It will eventually die out, but according to the SA:MP player count- it's increasing gradually.

My theory is players from the advanced servers like the roleplayers will move up to other games (IVMP, M2MP, 5MO), and SAMP will eventually consist of just cops n robbers, RPGs, etc. Eventually it'll die down to the point where barely any English people play it, it will be full of servers like Romanian stunting etc. By then it will be much smaller, and the developers will probably have no incentive to work on it anymore.

But I don't think that will happen for a VERY, VERY, VERY long time. SAMP might even last another decade before something like that happens.

What's wrong with CnR, RPG and Romanian stunting servers? Why do you talk like RP-servers are the superior servers and the rest of us (I myself am making a CnR/RPG server) run crappy servers? I have no idea how RP servers are so popular, it's really a mystery to me. They're totally not what GTA is about.

I just think GTA, San Andreas in particular is and should be about whatever you can make it, sculpted with the features of SAMP of course, there are heaps of possibilities, whether it's RP, DM, CnR, etc... It's just great to be able to do more with the game since in my personal experience, playing it for the first time on Ps2.

You can buy it fir ps3 nowadays can't you? I think on the playstation store.
