I wanted to know if people would be interested in gamemode I made over few years. My motivation was to play San Andreas multiplayer with few friends only. No gamemodes have been suitable enough though. We kind of liked to play protect the prime minister based gamemodes. So I took one and heavily altered it to be playable with limited amount of people. Basically I added levels, experience, classes, skill trees, abilities (with hotkeys, cooldowns, diminishing returns), events, etc. I created borders for gameplay area and made the whole gameplay swift, one game should last cca 5 minutes. I have not done everything I planned, because I lost my motivation over time. That is the main reason for sharing it with public. We do not play any more so I do not get any feedback. And I can not eliminate multiplayer bugs on my own. Second reason for me to quit are very limited options of SAMP and very poor player sync. I might continue developing if some of you will be playing. I know this is quite atypical among SAMP gamemodes, so I am not sure if anyone will be interested. I will hold on with posting more info until I know it is worth it (I am not even sure anyone will read this). I am going to post showcase video / detailed info and finally the whole gamemode, if I can see that few people are willing to play it. I am not by any means going to share .pwn files or any parts of code. I do not want people to alter it anyhow, I want to make it perfect by myself. |
Additional information
This mod is in alpha state with lots of bugs I have been either unable to exterminate or unable to find. Those of which I have not successfully solved are mostly SAMP issues (like parachute not actually opening about 30% times).
I have played the mode in 4 people maximum, so I am not sure what will happen if more players connect.
Features
- 4 gamemodes (protect the prime minister, deathmatch, team deathmatch, freeroam)
- 8 playable characters
- 9 skills for each character, except prime minister
- 3 character levels earned by killing players or completing event. With each level you are able to learn one skill from its tier.
- Voting system and pre-game lobby in which the gamemode is chosen.
- A lot more to be discovered.
Installation
Download server from official sa-mp website, merge server folder with folder I provide, profit.
Make sure that all filterscripts are loaded. They have to be stated in the .cfg file as in the one I provide, else it will not work properly.
Remeber to set your skill hotkeys (follow /hotkeys instructions).
Use freeroam (instant max level) to test skills, practice & have fun.
