I'm kinda interested in what computers people use these days.

Build this PC more then half a year ago, recently added some stuff totalling about Ђ 750

Built this PC back in July 2012 on my Birthday <3. At first it costed $1600, but with upgrades it's a total of about $2200 now.

Why is everyone overclocking his i7? Isnt that quite pointless, you wont need that much power for current stuff. I even undervolt my Q6600 to keep it cool, and todays people overvolt to keep lifetime short and feel cool?

Because you two don't have powerfull graphics cards.. even my i5 3570k @ 4.725 or my old i7 920 @ 4.2 Ghz are/were bottlenecking my cards...

I also OC to encode videos with some hard coded filtrations and so on, also I do F@H so it helps ALOT!

Btw all processors differ when we talk about keeping its lifetime like my old i7, its maximum voltage to get a lifetime of about 8 years was about 1.34 volts, and the new cpu's like ivy bridge are somewhere about 1.55v...
