So I recently purchased a webhosting at volt-host, I was afraid that I would ruin my webhosting if I upload the SMF files or whatever, can someone instruct me on how to install it successfully and answer me if it's compitable or not?

SMF is just a forum, nothing to do with your web host. Ofcourse it's compatible.
To install SMF:
- Make a new folder in your webhost root folder called "forum"
- Upload SMF files
- Open the /forum/install.php file (in your browser) and follow the instructions
- Done

Thanks, but I can't seem to get the forum to load, I get "This webpage is not available", I am unsure on how to set the name servers properly, they are ns1.volt-host.com and ns2.volt-host.com.

Lol. You just wasted your money. You're supposed to register a domain, then buy a web hosting on Volt-Host

But it's waste. You really wanna a cheap domain hoster + free domain for life? Go to ipage.com . They're giving out web hosting plus free domain registration for only 2.00$ for 3 months. Rest of the term, you pay only 3.00$
