Whether lag is present or not, whenever another player is shown on my screen and I hit that player where he is shown ON MY SCREEN, then it should register as a hit (like most other MP games). It should not be according to where he currently is on his machine, if he is lagging, that's his fault not mine. This issue needs to be fixed.
2)
Simple anti-hacking scripts. If a player is getting hit but his health is not decreasing (at the right rate) then auto-kick. Also money/weapons hacks.

ALL CAPS IS ANOTHER SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED
1) Requires a major code-rewrite and more load server-side
2) There are many filterscripts available, and Admins also make a good anti-cheat tool.
I'm sure someone else can go into more detail, but that's basically it.

I would say the most serious are DDoSing and general hacking, but as a catch 22, they are both serious because they are unstoppable.

yes, although i get what wood is saying, I must agree with Redgie (although most hacking is just money hacks by newbies which is not that bad).
They're all some bad problems. However, if you think about it, fixing it all would mean alot more work for Kye, it would mean you would need a much better PC to run a SA:MP server and even SA:MP itself and it would be so much more difficult for newbies to get acquainted with running a SA:MP server because of all that it would require in order to protect from attacks, hacking and lag.

A rewrite would be for the best its a mess at the moment nothing is in sync its terrible for roleplayers

It's seriously unplayable and dumb trying to kill someone by shooting ahead of them depending how much they are lagging...and headshots being the same as any other hit is bad too.
