Hello,

I'm posting this because I want to find out if I was just unlucky with this server or if other people have had similar experiences.

I joined US-RP for the first time the other day (I'm not an RP player, I was just curious because they had a fair amount of players so I thought it must've been decent).

I sat through the 10-minute tutorial (twice, may I add, as my internet lagged out and froze SA-MP the first time) and then bought a drivers licence and got into a car outside the DMV so that I could go to meet two friends who were playing with me.

I typed "/engine" as instructed and a message appeared in the main chat to say that I had started my engine.

The car would not move, so I got out of that one and into another one but the same thing happened.

Note that at this time (or for the entire time I was on the server) there was no one around me whatsoever, I was completely alone.

So as my car would not move, I began typing commands such as "/on" "/start" "/forward" etc in case it needed something like that. Somebody then said in the main chat "lol hacking?" and then I was banned for "HH" which I can only assume means "health hacks" (lol at people who say "hack" instead of "cheat")

So I appealed the ban, not because I wanted to be unbanned, but because I wanted an answer as to why I was banned in the first place when I did not cheat, never have cheated and never will cheat.

An admin told me to contact the highest administrator which is what I did, who responded with:

So I must ask, is it possible for me to be lagging horribly enough for my screen to show that I was in a different place to everyone else?

Because it's either that, or the admin who banned me is an idiot with a sick mind who bans innocent people for fun.

"HH" is usually something you get banned for on deathmatch or mission based servers (I am a high admin on the Mini-Missions server), not on RP servers. Only thing that I can possibly say is that the methods they used to check for cheats were clearly insufficient. If they would have slapped/thrown you (= throwing you a few meters in the air to see if you lose health on impact), then it would not have worked if you were desynced.

It's dumb when they do that, and then when you really aren't using HH they don't give you your health back (unless requested). Some noob admins alright..

Yeah, I guess so. I just wonder how many innocent people are missing out because they've been unfairly banned.

You may have been desynced, in which case they should have tested it.

Perfect reason why I dont even try to go on any RP servers, they all act like hardasses even though its a stolen gamemode and they have less than 100 players.

You're wrong. Not all RP servers admins act like hardassess. Well my admin team doesn't.

And this is why I told (read 'forced') my staff to always make sure they have some kind of proof, and that people are innocent until proven otherwise. People can and will make mistakes, and trusting people blindly is never the best solution.
