[Supercop]

I got a Compaq Presario CQ56 laptop, I barely game on it, but if I do it's SAMP.


Now, this laptop runs SAMP on a FPS of around 50, with fraps recording around 20.

I want to improve my FPS, because while using Teamspeak/Ventrilo/Skype which I use, my FPS drops to around 30.

I know upgrading a laptop is very limited, but I've heard that upgrading the RAM is still posible, my CQ56 can get to around 8 GB of RAM.

Now my questions:

- Is SAMP depending mostly on RAM, so if I upgrade my RAM can I improve the FPS?
- Can I run ENB mod with improved RAM, as currently I cannot.

Current specs:

3 GB Ram
AMD Athlon™ II P320 Dual-Core 2.1 Ghz
AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphic card

ENB requires a good graphic card.

Your biggest problems are your CPU and your CPU. YOur CPU is upgradable, yet your GPU isnt and is the most likely cause of the FPS loss, The CPU if you place a better GPU n the the game will be slower etc

Yeah, I dont think you can upgrade them in laptops...

Yes. RAM Improves loading speed, and Graphic card improves the seeing speed.

external graphic card? wtf. Since when exist " external graphic cards"?. Anyways you should buy a desktop for gaming it's cheap and powerfull. For ENB series you just need a good GPU but your PC specs are good enough to play sa:mp.

Yes you can as long your laptop has one GPU MXM slot, and the GPU that you'll buy is also MXM

Yes they are very expensive and also the main problem is that they are ALOT slower than the "normal" GPU's...

Edit: I've just made one search and it looks like it got alot cheaper than what it was about 3 years ago...
