I recently enrolled into ITT Technical Institute in the Computer Electronic Engineering Technology program (CEET). I also downloaded the program Multisim. Which is a program used to create circuit board simulations and more things aswell. I also downloaded the 2001 version of Multisim because thats the one thats being used in my book. I have come across an error "Failed to Initialize DAO jet Db engine", and i cant figure out how to resolve that issue. I have searched ******, and to no avail no solution. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like some incompatibilty issue. Are you sure that version is compatible with your OS?

Cant you use a newer version that is officially working with windows 7? The compatibilty mode isnt always working. Did you already tried running as admin (guess so)?

Yes i tried running as administrator, and the one already working with my Windows 7 doesnt have the same options required for the assignment, for example "General Component 1" is in 2001, but not 2011 which is the one i need but is not available on the working 2011 version.
