[Tutorial] [Pawno] How to fix: "Failed to set data for "" error
#1

Edit: This is MY way of fixing it, I know there are other ways to fix it, but this is just my way.

Intro:

Hey, do you also get an error message when trying to start Pawno?
Are you also missing the functions in the side-bar of Pawno?

Here is how to fix it!

How to fix:

Well, sometimes it will work when you run Pawno as administrator. If it doesn't, go to your Pawno directory in your server and open Settings with notepad.
Change FileAssoc=1 to FileAssoc=0

Enjoy!

Running it as an admin or disabling UAC is the most common fix.

I disabled my UAC and it worked perfectly.

Disabling UAC is a bad idea.

Isn't it annoying when you just have to keep pressing "run as admin"?
And btw, when you just double click .pwn files, it wont open correctly....

UAC isn't hard to bypass; it's quite frankly pointless, so no, it's not really a bad idea.

If you disable UAC, it will... I double click the PWN, and it opens the PWN perfectly. Did you even read that he said something about UAC?
I also don't need UAC: I have ESET Smart Security which notifies me every time something makes critical changes on my computer.

Most simple solution:

Open "pawno.exe", go to "Options" tab then just disable "Associate with *.pwn files". And you're done!
