Hey guys,
I'm planning on making a new Prison Roleplay server. The reasoning for my post is that I'd like to see how many people would be interested in the server. It will be strict roleplay.
Thanks.

I'm also currently undertaking the same task. From my knowlwdge of past Prison RP servers, you can get a decent playerbase, but in order to get it to stick, you'll need updates and to constantly add and change things. It is good fun, but people often get bored with the same setting and things to do.
Anyway, best of luck!
Fred.

I don't exactly see the point as on LSRP they have a prison system run by trained DoC guards (literally, they get training from people who are extremely knowledgeable on the matter), and has many realistic prison gangs/dedicated roleplayers inside. That's just my view, I've found with prison roleplays more work goes towards the prison and it's features which is a plus, but in terms of strict/realistic roleplay it doesn't get much better than what LSRP has.
And no I don't play LSRP so I'm not being a fanboy. If you can script some great features and have good ideas it's worth a shot.

I have played on hundreds of prison servers, but to be honest with you, they are all the same. So, if you want players to stick to your server, then you should frequently add unseen features, otherwise they will simply leave. Eventually, add new mappings weekly, so they can see new things, not just the same backyard and stuff. Moreover, just respect the suggestions they, the players, bring forward. It is utterly ridiculous to close down a server just after a few weeks of constant ''breathing''.

If you made a massive prison, a real life sized one, then people would stay.

If you succeed with making a good looking map, then I would stop by and play a bit.

For me, Prison roleplay is boring.. Just my opinion!
