[SOLVED] Compiler problem (the server doesn't accept the amx)
#1

Hi, I use Ubuntu Linux and I want to compile PAWN scripts into AMX for SA:MP servers. I downloaded the newest version of the pawncc (3.3.4097) and I can compile now the sources into AMX. But the server doesn't accept my scripts and tell me always that: Run time error 18: "File is for a newer version of the AMX". I tried to download an older version, but I only found an older source, but I needed an older CMake for compiling the source (that coded in C). When I had all of these, I typed 'make' (as the readme said) and I got a lots of errors. I think that's because of my GCC is too "new".

So is there any solution to make an old-version AMX file with my compiler? Or is there any program that could convert it to an older format?

Yes, they changed how it works. Use version 3.2.3664 if you haven't tried.

http://www.compuphase.com/pawn/pawn.htm that's where you find all older versions

Maybe ask on their forum..

In the Linux server package there isn't any pawn compiler (pawncc). The Windows version doesn't run on Linux.
