FPS lag in Los Santos?
#1

Hey!

I get alot of FPS lag in Los Santos, mainly in Ganton, Jefferson & Idlewood. Does anyone else suffer extreme loss of FPS in those areas? With /fpslimit on 100, I can get about 90 FPS in parts of SF / LV, about 40 in dense countryside, but only about 10 to 15 on certain parts of LS. It's so bad that racing through those parts of LS means certain fail for me.

Any tips?

I don't lag in LS, but when i'm in San Fierro, like by Wang Cars, my FPS drops hardcore.

Wow, that's big. I got some friends who got the same problem in Ganton.
I got a sucky GFX card and I don't lag there. I only lag when there are a lot of players and a lot of cars in the same area.
Try getting a new GFX card.
I have an 8600GT, I get better FPS in GTA:IV than some parts of LS

If you got an extra video card(64mb+), install it and try. If it doesn't lag, your current video card is... fucked up?
I don't, I only have my GFX car (8600GT, 512MB GFX RAM) and my onboard GFX, which is a 6100. Tbh, the FPS on the 6100 is actually not that much different from the 8600..

I have a nVidida geforce 3 ti 500 ( Yes, geforce 3, lol. ) And the only time I lag is when I look at my modded LSPD car. Else I have around 50 fps

And my graphics card is 64 mb vram, DDR.

With this card, I only lag in LV, which is the part with the rich neighborhood and that part of the city. Other then that, I have no problems. I get about 20-30FPS

I had the same problem in LS-RP, near the Locotes Hood. The part where Nato parked his cars. I'd get like 5FPS in that spot, and like 80 everywhere else. Dunno why, but it never happened anywhere else.

Though 'lag' in some parts, maybe there's alot of textures/objects/models your card cannot seem to process, yet, others can fine. Upgrade your GPU. An EVGA 8800GT is very cheap, I'd suggest picking one up.

I am the only who has 60 fps limit + VSync?

9800GT + 3.0 dual core = epic winning lol
