Few days ago I got +REP from a user because I helped him, but it didn't counted in my profile page, can someone tell me why? thanks

Users with less than 50 posts can't give rep
Your rep count will only increase if the user who gave them reaches 50+ posts

He also needs a certain amount of Reputation himself to make the rep increase when giving it to someone.
