Hello, I've read a thing about the Serial Ban, that allows you to ban the hard disk serial of a player, and not the his ip.
In this way, the person who has been banned, cannot more enter in to the server.
Is it a real thing? I know that you can evade it, but at least, it is a better solution rather than the range ip ban.

What you are talking about is called client id (gpci), and no, this is a terrible way to ban someone, client ids aren't unique.

neither the range ban and neither the gpci ban is not an option here, unless you use the gpci for half an hour or an hour long ban so you can kinda stop the player from reentering.but even then,i wouldnt use either of them anyways.
and no,there is no such thing as a hard disk ban.
conclusion,a normal account ban would do the job.
note: be careful when you ip-ban someone,if they have an dynamic ,some other persons using the same internet provider might get that ip sometimes, the chance of that guy playing on your server is slim but there is a chance so still,a account ban would do the job.

Sadly as they said, there no ban that will prevent players from evading. You only can ban by gpci or ban the whole country from playing server(it will ban inncent players, but thats the only way to avoid a POTENTIAL cheater from joining.)

so simply dont ban at all? bs lol, you're all obviously exaggerating but since everyone is dropping their opinions i'll drop mine,
If its a normal cheater ban his ip + account,
If it's a heavy ban evader ban the gpci id for a couple of hours until he gives up ban evading then clear the gpci id ban list.

If gpci has these ID problems, why is it (first place) made?

Because someone is lazy and couldn't get a way to generate a hash that's unique for each PC, rather generated it according to the installation directory (which is never unique) and users (which is also not unique) thus making it totally inefficient to hand bans with it.
It will never hurt to store the GPCI of the players to match against cheater's as well as the IP range, and ISP/Country in case you suspect someone for evading, which is a method I prefer to use.
