So a while ago nostalgia hit me and I decided to do NFS Undergrond 2 one more time.
Everything appeared to be fine until yesterday when I unlocked Coal Habor West (stage 5) and decided to change my car.
So I visited the car lot and I had an unpleasant surprise. The last car that was unlocked was the Infinity G35.

I know for a fact that I should have the Nissan 350 Z and the Mazda RX-8 available by now, but I don't.
When I jump to the garage and I hit car select, the game crashes and Windows tells me that a problem has occurred (which is damn obvious).

This happens on Windows 10 Pro, with the Anniversary update installed.
I don't know if it happens on older builds.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any help will be very much appreciated.

It maybe has something to do with the update?

I played NFSU 2 a long time ago and I do not recall something like this happening.Have you tried searching for it online?I remember there were some forums for it (not quite sure, it was a long time ago) but they seem to be deleted now.

I used to play it on the ps2, it was a nightmare since most of the time it stuttered for ~1-2 seconds or completely froze. Most Wanted was the best NFS game I have ever played however.

From what I see, it might be case of save corruption.
I created a new profile using the profile creator and I don't get the crash when I accessed the car selection menu.
It might have something to do with the update, because I installed it before the anniversary update rolled in for my rig, but I'm just not sure.

I have access to all the stage 1 cars, the first 3 cars from stage 2, and the Infiniti G35 which is unlocked in stage 4. This is freakin' weird..
I guess I'll do the progress slowly again and pay attention to what cars I unlock. This is really frustrating.
