Hey,

I would like some advise because I don't know what to do. Either host my own gamemode and become my own boss with my own gamemode. Or sell/release the script to the community.

I have never owned my own server I never had the confidence to even start. But if it was my own gamemode it would make it easier I suppose. But if I realease the script it would be a waste all of my hard work for nothing.

Any help/ tips would appreciate it!

Here is a solution to your problem, if you have the desire to open a server open one, if you have the desire to sell/release the gamemode then do it, no one is holding your hands and you should ask others to make a decision for you. You probably know that most of the members will ask you to release it right?

If you always wanted to open a server then do it, if it doesn't succeed as you expected no worries! It does not affect your life in any way, if it doesn't work out then decide to either sell the script or release it.

What i suggest is you open your own server, for at least say a month, trial it and see how it goes if its successful you may want to keep it to yourself, however if its really good people would want to buy it, and therefore you can start selling your game mode. See how people like it first.. and then you can make that decision on if you wish to sell or keep it to yourself.
If you think your game modes a waste because you released it, you couldn't be any more wrong... The purpose of your game mode was so it can get played and enjoyed by the sa-mp community, if by some reason your not able to host it yet someone else is able to.. at least your game mode is fulfilling its purpose. Wouldnt you rather be known as "that guy that created the game mode to that server" rather than that guy who thought his game mode would be wasted if he releases it...
