Just finished scripting stage 1 of my real-estate business type.



Any player can apply to become a private real-estate agent. Private agents can own a maximum of 8 properties. Players can own a maximum of only 3 properties.

The real-estate business type works in conjunction with our business system, and works in a slightly different way to buying houses as a normal player, or a real estate-agent. As a private real-estate agent, the houses you buy are in the name of the individual player, they are yours to own as an individual, the costs come out of your own pocket, and the profits go into your own pocket.

A real-estate business can own an unlimited number of properties. So entire motel buildings, hotels, and housing estates, the sky is the limit.
When a real-estate business purchases a property, the property is bought under the name of the real-estate business, and the individual player of that business who purchased the property does not pay, or gain any costs or profits. It all comes out of the businesses funds.

There are 6 ranks of a business, the top 3 ranks being Manager, Co-Owner, and Owner. These 3 ranks may buy, sell, and set property for rent at their own will.

Property purchased by a real-estate business does not have any of the perks of buying property as a normal player or real-estate agent, the whole idea is simply to buy and sell/rent the property for profits.

Stage 2 of this development now involves adjusting the script in order to be able to control certain aspects of properties, such as locking them up, and setting the rent rates.

Other ranks of this business type are responsible for showing potential buyers around the property, taking deposits, and keeping up with rent payments.

Stage 3 of development involves some fresh script, in which real-estate businesses can bring up a list of their properties via a dialog box. The dialog box will show a list of currently owned property, it's price, if it's being rented out, and who is renting it. There will also be the option to set a checkpoint location to the property (If it's not inside an interior, if it is, you will have to be inside that interior in order to use this feature).

This isn't a complex system by any means, but it provides a massive role-play element to my server, and provides players with something much more than just joining a faction or a gang.

The aim of developing my server is to give players a long-term challenge that doesn't involve getting ranks in a faction/gang, where your money can go a long long way.

The icon looks just like the one on NG-RP. Otherwise it looks really good that agents can have up to eight properties.

You're saying the pickup model looks like NG-RP? Dude, there's a blue house and a green house pickup model for ANY server, those are the only 2 options lol
