Hello guys' well I'm trying to use a program called xsplit which is basicly a broadcasting/recording program but when i press the overlay key so i can broadcast/record the game freezes but it only happens in samp not san andreas itself.
Any ideas?

1. SA-MP is a mod of San Andreas, so the problem will occure for San Andreas too not only SA-MP.
2. What's your PC specs? Cause sometimes xsplit doesn't support low pc's
3. This is a not Xsplit Support, i would recommend you to talk to them via Support (email, their own forum)

You are mistaken, look here:

1-SA-MP doesn't affect San Andreas at all, so it won't occur for the normal game.
2-Are you serious with the PC specs? If he can manage to run GTA, he'll manage to record about three games once.

My suggestions:

Well, I believe either you should use Fraps, or either you re-install SA-MP, when does the freeze occur? When you first start the recording or...?


EDIT 1:Wait, why did you link to a Minecraft's thread? Minecraft isn't SA-MP, even if he figured out a solution there, it's only used for Minecraft bro. You don't really have to fill your post with useless web links.

ok i kinda lied, didn't test it on normal san andreas but I have no mods installed at all (except for samp) and when I press Ctrl+ Tab to bring the overlay up the game freezes.

my pc specs are:

CPU: AMD FX™-8350 Eight-Core Processor @ 4.0ghz
RAM: 8.1gb DDR3
Graphics Card: sapphire amd radeon hd 7870 2gb ghz edition oc (but not currently overclocked)
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)SP1

Use Fraps, it's the fastest, most reliable recording tool specialized for games, and you should try recording the normal game, good luck.

ok I just tested it on gta san andreas single player and the overlay works without crashing.
I'm hoping the samp devs can make a hotfix

You're wrong.
SA-MP injects a DLL into GTA SA process.
If the recording program is crashing when running GTA SA with SA-MP, and not in GTA SA itself, the problem is being caused by the DLL or by the recording program.
