Причина: "takes" instead of "gets" the job done
)
First of all, let me say this:
However, after seeing how many servers are copies of another ones and how people like to take a base GM, "upgrade" it and put it online I thought it was a good idea to post this.
1- Originality. Everything successful from ******** to ****** came from a guy who had this idea that no one else had.
2- Script from Scratch. I'm not telling you to re-invent the wheel, but there's no harm in actually doing things yourself. With time, this will make the job way easier and trouble-free for you.
3- Staff. Can't put enough emphasis on this. I've seen a couple of servers that had good scripts but also had immature staff. Get someone that gets the job done.
4- Donator Status. This is by no means a necessary thing, but successful servers allow donating players to have benefits IG while keeping the playing field leveled between all players.
5- Useless stuff, out. If your server is a DM only server, there is no need in adding RP features/functions. It's a waste of resources and almost no one will use it.
6- Refunds = NO. How many servers will give new players +3000 score and $1 million? This is not right, specially for RP servers. If the player gets on your RP server, he expects to earn it.
7- Clear Ideas. Great servers know what they're going to implement beforehand, as well as it's impact on gameplay, etc. If you are not sure about starting a server, don't. Save yourself the trouble.
8- Community. By far the most important aspect is to listen to your community, they will continue to give you feedback on how to make the server better. Like in business, listen to your customers.
So that's basically it, please tell me if there's anything else you would like me to add on this list.
