Completely disable "Ackslimit"?
#1

Hello,

is there any option to completely disable the ackslimit?
Many players got timeouts because of just driving around or visiting selfmade maps.
These maps are small at all, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I used the search engine before, but I didn't find anything to just disable this function.

Thank you for replying!

So increase ackslimit to an amount of 500000 or 99999999 should fix the problem?

Yes, that should make it so players never trigger it, but I wouldn't do that. I would increase it to something that'll prevent it from being triggered.

Also, make sure you're running SA-MP 0.3z R4 (you can check using the SA-MP client). The homepage does not have the latest links for the server.
If you're not running 0.3z R4:
0.3z R4 Linux: http://files.sa-mp.com/samp03zsvr_R4.tar.gz
0.3z R4 Windows: http://files.sa-mp.com/samp03z_svr_R4_win32.zip

Thank you very much!

Just updated to 0.3z R4, but still timeouts. I've tested it with ackslimit 500000, but there's still "3000" shown in the cmd box when a player gets kicked.

you should increase
not just update into 3z
and it is 3000 because kalcor updated ackslimit to 3000

Yes, I've updated and increased it to 500000 in my config, but in the cmd box there's still "3000" shown when a player gets kicked.

Theres probably an upper limit that, and if the limit is exceeded the default value is used. I guess its a short-datatype, so try 65535 as limit.

Thank you very much, but that didn't work. :/
Maybe another limit?

Just set it down or increase it progressively until it works then. If 65000 still is beyond the limits in not limited by the datatype, but there was a specific limit set, and ive got no idea what that limit is.
