So, I've watched endless amounts of tutorials on ******* regarding scripting, read almost the whole wiki and forums.
But I still cannot properly script!
Could someone help me over something like skype?

The best way to learn is to just play around with stuff. They way I learned was started a new script and built it by folowing tutorials of certain stuff I wanted in the code. With that you can play around and see what does what. As long as you learn the basic of the language the easier learning the rest is. But dont start on register and login systems etc. I advise you start on stuff like checkpoints etc. and Dialogs.

Okay, let me be more specific, I know about variables, strings etc.
But my problem is: I have no clue on why and how to put them to use.

By play around i mean just like mess with stuff. folow tutorials and then try use your knowledge to make something you like... Variables and strings you use in different places and use them in all coding languages... They all used similar. Strings you can use to store 'letters' like 'a, b, c' etc. So you would use them to tell players their name etc.

Private lessons by someone that knows what they're doing will cost money, the only 'lessons' that are usually given for free are not very good ones.
