Hosted Tab is worth to buy or not?

I have just been told couple times by alot of people to buy that and Custom Hostname, is that so important for servers?

It depends on what do you want, do you already got a community our are you still building it up?
If you have some regulars you wont need you Server in the hosted tab list, the most ppl that join your srv will just do it once but you might gonna find some new regulars if u are about buying it ^^

As of a few minutes ago theres 366 servers.

And personally from what i seen i would say its totally worth it. What list would you rather be in, one with 366 servers, or one with 4000-6000? I know exactly where i would want to be....

No really? thought there were over 9,000 servers.

Me, I actually don't care. I never seen hosted-tab really do anything other then why it came out.

Not sure where you get the 9k servers from, in total theres only about 4-6k servers including hosted tab....

Save you some money buy just going with the internet tab first, just advertise to get as many players as you can. After a little while, just get the hosted tab then that way you got everything ready instead of going all in.

Sometimes they are worth, sometimes not. It just makes your server more aware to the public and if it has players, new players will join to your server. And your server will be easier to be found on "Hosted" tab over than "Internet" tab..

As someone else said, it depends whether you are an already well-established community or not. With my team's servers (when they were online) we definitely noticed an increase in players when we put our servers on the hosted tab, but that's because they were small servers which weren't really advertised or anything. SACNR is a big server, they do not use the hosted tab (last time I checked they weren't on it anyway) and they still get lots of players because of their popularity.

So if your community is new then yes, get hosted tab for a few months while you start up.
