Hello, I am crashing on load when trying to load a server.
All the fixes don't seem to work

I have:
Run it as an admin
Changed the name of my GTA SA folder - and tried to use it in a different directory
Changed the compatibility to Win 98/Me - when i click on sa-mp.exe it start to load a server instead of showing me browser
Reinstalled SAMP and SA multiple times
deleted GTA_SA.set

There are 0 mods installed.. this is a completely clean install... and i am running on Windows 8.1 industry embedded x64

This could be client side.. I have heard there is some problems with Windows 8 and samp and i think thats the reason.

It did work fine on Windows 8 for me, but when i upgrade to 8.1 this happens.

Yeah thats it. Windows 8.1 has some preoblems running samp.

Could you try setting compabillity to windows xp and try again?
windows xp should work, let me know if not.

Sadly it didn’t work.I’ve try setting to every possible compatibility but it just don’t want to work.If you have any other suggestion that i haven’t try i will gladly try them.

Thanks for reminding me but it’s not possible to install dx9 on windows 8.1. It’s show me incompatible error. I’m starting to think gta doesn’t work on 8.1 because of mission dx9 which you can’t install.I’ve try to install dx9 c that come with GTA installation but it wont install.

Windows 8.1 comes with DX11.2, why downgrade to DX9 then ?
