******** buys WhatsApp - Possible End?
#1

IMO now that ******** have bought it, I believe they'll just fill it with ads, games and random stuff to piss off users and we'll end up switching to another application. I been using it for almost 9 months, so probably 3 months subscription left xD lets hope Mark makes the app free and not spoil it with random ads.

Read for more Info: Mark Zuckerberg CEO of ******** buys WhatsApp for $19B

AND just in case you didn't know, Mark forgot to put a space between forinternet.org and the domain turned out to be unregistered :3 so whoever bought the website is one lucky bitch, it's worth about $50k just incase you didn't know.

I have no idea if it will end WhatsApp but they will almost definitely ruin it to the bone.

One of the main reasons for this deal was to get their user data. Now he got some additional billion datasets, combining them with the ******** data people get much more transparent now.

Getting money from whatsapp wont be a real reason for this, advertisement and user identification is the one way to earn big money today.

Ill look for an alternative now, luckily I didnt pay for whatsapp yet, so the data they got from me is pretty limited.

At first, I read $19B as $198. But when I realize it's $19 billion, I was like

OT: I don't really care about it since I never use WhatsApp and rarely use ********.

And you were normal when you thought it was $198? Wow. $198 for a software that is used by half a billion people looks quite expensive.

Lol 198 if whatsapp had a userbase of 50 then yes it would be $198 but no, almost everyone with a smartphone use Whatsapp and viber is a good alternative too, although I still prefer whatsapp for texting and viber for calls :3

I used that a while ago, but removed it as I dont like how they collect even more data than skype. It works well, but I dont think viber is an alternative for guys who quit whatsapp for privacy reasons

Ill go with some end-to-end crypto messenger. There are several ones, not easy to find the best out of them.
