Full HD Monitor
#1

Umm, I have a problem :P

On one hand I have SA:MP in all it's awesomeness.
On another hand I have that brand new 22 inch Full HD (1920x1080) monitor I just bought (upgrade from 17'' CRT lol), but GTA doesn't really support that resolution in 1.0 (round stuff looks crap)
On the (third?) hand I have GTA:SA 1.1 (or was it 1.01) patch which adds support for my native resolution, but (supposedly) kills SA:MP.

Help pls?

SA:MP only supports v1.0

Go to:
Options ---> Display Setus ---> Avanched ---> And there you can find the settings for San Andreas

No good since GTA doesn't support 1080i in 1.0 version and everything is horizontally stretched (eventho I have the "widescreen" option on)

But hey, at least I can play SAMP!

I have the same problem with my ViewSonic 22" Full HD. What's even more annoying is that it gives me an on screen prompt to tell me to change res, which of course I can't, and I don't want to disable it because it's useful for most games

I run the game at 1680x1050 (16:10 widescreen) with the Display Settings > Advanced > Widescreen option on. The HUD is a little bit stretched but the 3D FOV is correct.

I'm not sure about 1920x1080. No problems have been reported.

It's working on my friend comp on 1920x1080. Just go in game and find advanced settings and just scroll mouse up or down when you have mouse on resolution.

Yeah Full HD is 16:9 which is quite wider :P

Maybe a custom resolution launcher is possible? (or an option for SAMP client to launch SA in specific resolution)

It's not there. I've found the best one available to me is 1680x1050 but it's not perfect (see link above)

I got it on 1860x1050 too, but I have the in-game Widescreen option off, it looks weird with it on in my opinion. :P
